If there's anything that can help ease a break-up, it's music.

The one that Adam Sandler sings on the Wedding Singer (Somebody Kill me Please). Makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time.
On a more serious note, though, I reckon Adele's 'Someone like you' is a real heart-wrencher.
I have never used music in that context!
Blondie's - The Tide Is High saw me through my high school years and subsequent high school breakups, so for nostalgic reasons this song sits high on my list of favourite breakup songs for me.

Although I do love the power, sentiment and emotion of Rihanna's Stay; Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World's Say Something and Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's duet Falling Slowly.
I was listening to Go your own way last night. I absolutely love this song. ABBA's Knowing me, knowing you is another good one and so is What's love got to do with it..Ooo, and Gotye's Somebody that I used to know.

The whole Sinead O'Connor Faith and Courage album! I used it exclusively for one breakup. Especially memorable - No Man's Woman (It don't make me happy this mantrolling Thing that you got for me) - don't you love it?!
and Jealous (You're jealous, you just can't stand to see me get along / Without you - like I do... you told me to / Now you're jealous)....
You can really get it all out with Sinead!
Plus gentlemen - I certainly do not mean all of you....... :) Its for specific situations and surely guys could sing womantrolling and No Woman's Man to that song!!!!!
I will have to check it out. Thanks inkik. :-D
